Radiographer / Mammographer – St Helena

About the role

You will join the 23‑bed General Hospital in Jamestown to develop and deliver radiology services across X‑ray, CT and mammography. The role combines clinical work, teaching, protocol development and participation in on‑call emergency cover.

Key responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic imaging services in X‑ray, CT and mammography.
• Teach and support nurses and student radiographers.
• Produce and update imaging protocols, guidelines and quality‑assurance procedures.
• Participate in clinical and staff meetings.
• Share on‑call duties for out‑of‑hours emergencies.

Required profile

• Diploma from the College of Radiographers or BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent.
• State‑registered radiographer with a current registration certificate.
• Substantial post‑qualification experience in general radiography, including CT and mammography.
• Knowledge of PACS and commitment to QA and audit standards.
• Demonstrated fairness, integrity and teamwork, with willingness to contribute to community development.
