Senior Back-End Engineer (Fintech)

About the role

Deel is building its own financial infrastructure to support global payroll, treasury and compliance. As a Senior Back‑End Engineer you will own the design and delivery of core fintech services that process billions of dollars in cross‑border payouts each year.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Front‑End Engineers, Product, Design and QA to deliver end‑to‑end features.
• Design, develop and maintain high‑performance, scalable backend systems for payments, settlement and compliance.
• Implement robust APIs, data pipelines and storage solutions that meet security and regulatory standards.
• Participate in product planning from discovery through deployment, providing technical input and estimates.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code‑review processes.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience building backend services in a fintech or SaaS environment.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work autonomously in a fast‑growing, distributed team.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with cross‑functional partners.
